I have been working with The University Star, also called The Star, a student-run news organization at Texas State University and one of the oldest publications in the state for about a year as an illustrator and page designer. The Star provides news and information on issues affecting the university, as well as the San Marcos community.

Before transferring to Texas State I went to Austin Community College for a degree in 2D Animation! Finding color palettes, styles, creating storyboards, and setting guidelines all came easy to me and it began my fascination for design in general. Below is a character design deck for one of my own characters!
